Hair Products I Can’t Live Without

So one thing about me that I love about hair are the products. I love how hair products can make or break your hair. I love educating myself on the new products, trying new things and educating my clients on the new products to hit the shelves. I have a go to run down of products that never fail me, that I make sure to keep on stock for myself at home and my clients in the salon, and I’m excited to share them with you guys!

INCOMMON Magic Elixr

I mentioned this product in my yearly favorites, and I truly love it. I also have an in depth post on my review on the line, which you should go check out. Magic Myst is a weightless, universal leave in conditioner that protects against heat, repairs damage, is for all hair types, and is a great detangler.

KEVIN.MURPHY LEAVE IN. REPAIR

This is magic in a bottle. If you’re a hairstylist, you know how hard it can be to find protein, moisture, AND shine in one product. But this is it. Formulated with hydrolysed keratin protein, Leave in Repair imparts moisture while repairing damage in the same time. It provides nourishment for shiny, glossy, weightless hair and gives heat protection as well.

OLAPLEX NO. 6

If you haven’t tried OLAPLEX products yet, please do yourselves a favor and do so. No. 6 is a leave in repairing styling cream that strengthens, hydrates, moisturizes, speeds up blow drying times, smooths and eliminates frizz for up to 72 hours. I love this stuff too, because you can apply it wet or dry. A little goes SUCH a long way- I got my first bottle back in the summer, use it multiple times a week and have barely left a dent in it. It’s for all hair types and textures, and is also oil free.

KEVIN MURPHY DOO.OVER

This is my staple in my beach wave, effortless styles. This is a dry powder finishing spray, mainly meant to refresh your hair for your day 2 styles by removing excess oil and product residues, and I like to use it as that, and as a prep for my beach waves. this gives a light grit to your hair that is lightweight enough that it won’t hold the hair down, but holds enough, so for those that have hair that is so soft that it’s hard to curl, this one is for you.

R+Co Balloon

This instant volume and texture spray is for my fine haired girls that struggle getting volume. This is extremely light and weightless, and is long lasting without weighing your hair down. Truly one of my favorite volumizing sprays.

R+Co Trophy

I am very passionate about loose, messy, textured waves and A good texture spray makes 50% of the look of you ask me. So the problem with texture spray, is normally as great as they may work, they’re formulated with a lot of waxes that dull the hair down and take away its shine. So for me in the past, I looked at it as ‘oh no problem, I’ll just throw some shine spray over it to fix that.’ But Trophy by R+Co does both for you in one. Shine and texture- there’s not much more I want than that. It’s also one of the most lightweight feeling texture sprays, meaning you can still run your fingers through your hair after spraying this in. AND- even bigger added bonus, it has both bergamot and cedar wood in it too for fragrance aka my two top favorite scents🤓

KEVIN MURPHY SHIMMER.SHINE

Last but not least, I wanted to tell you guys about my favorite shine spray. Formulated with light reflective technology from high end skincare, SHIMMER. SHINE leaves no oily residue or added weight, this allows even the dryest and dullest of hair to truly flourish in the mist of harsh climates and revive lackluster hair. It even can counteract dull tones on the darkest colors, and is suitable for all hair types. It can be applied wet for a small treatment and be blow dried in,or applied dry so you can experience how much glow this spray is capable of.

So I really tried to nail these down so I could make a ‘top 5’ but a top 7 is just as good, right? I have a link on where you can purchase all of these products online, or feel free to stop in and see me in the salon if you’re local, and purchase them in person as well.
